Amenities for The Sanctuary at Shell Point

Fishing is good year round. Trout school in the grass flats off Live Oak Island; mullet are caught by hook, cast, or seine nets in the canals and along the beach; reds have averaged 17-25 pounds and seem to favor the canals during the Winter; grouper-snapper are caught in the rocks offshore and crab buckets are filled with blue and stone crabs. Scallops and oysters can be scooped up during the seasons on the grass flats or along the many bars in Oyster Bay.
